Email ·
Your week at your Castles, every Saturday.
A weekly digest is here, for anyone who wants one: one email every Saturday with your Castles’ week. It’s off until you switch it on, and one tap stops it.
The short version
- One email a week, Saturday 9:00 in your home Castle’s time zone, or Saturday 14:00 UTC if you don’t have one
- Your Castles’ week, as Lately has it
- Off until you switch it on, in Settings under Email
- Nothing to say that week? No email
- Every digest has a one-tap stop link, no sign-in needed
- Never anyone’s name or rating, and we don’t track opens or clicks
Some of us check Castle Gambit on the way to the club. Some of us would rather it came to us, once, with the coffee. For the second kind: the weekly digest.
What’s in it
Your Lately, by email: new Gambits and the ones called off, nights added to the schedule, how each club night went (14 played, 22 games), how many people joined, and which tournaments have their standings up. Plus the public Gambits and nights of Castles you follow. Each line links straight to its page.
When
Saturday 9:00 in your home Castle’s time zone, or Saturday 14:00 UTC if you don’t have one (that’s mid-morning on the US East Coast, and a good reason to pick a home Castle). A quiet week sends nothing: we’d rather not fill your inbox with “nothing happened”.
Yours to switch on, and off
It’s off until you tick it in Settings, under Email. Every digest ends with a link that stops it in one tap, no sign-in needed, and the same switch in Settings works too. Each digest’s link works for six months, even if you switch the digest off and on again in between. It never names anyone, never shows a rating, and we don’t track whether you open it. The privacy page says exactly what we keep.
