Simulate a tournament night
Up to 64 pretend players who report their own results, disagree, forget, don't turn up and call you over, in the real TD console. Nothing counts, and it's gone in a day.

The short version
- 4 to 64 pretend players: knockout, double elimination, Swiss, or a round robin up to 10
- Real time, 2×, 4×, or Demo, where a round takes about a minute
- Calm, a normal night, or chaos
- Disputes, lone reports, no-shows, hands up and drawn knockout games, as on the night
- Make something happen now, when you want to practise one thing
- Run two tournaments at once, on their own boards
Practice with pretend players gave you a quiet rehearsal: eight very patient people who never disagreed about anything. Real club nights are less polite. So now there’s Simulate a tournament night.
Pick the night
Choose how many pretend players (4 to 64), the format, the pace and how the night goes. Calm: almost everyone agrees. A normal night: a few problems a round. Chaos: something needs you every few minutes. Tick Run two at once and a second tournament sits down on the boards next door.
They do the rest
You land in the same TD console you’ll use for real, and press Start. Then the pretend players get on with it: two matching results go in by themselves, two different ones come to you as Disputed, someone reports and their opponent never does, Pretend Sicilian doesn’t show and Pretend Dragon raises a hand to say so, a knockout game is drawn and the tie-break starts on the same board. A feed in the Practice bar says what happened, board by board.
Practise the hard bits on purpose
Make something happen now puts a dispute, a hand, a no-show or a draw on a board right away. Pause the pretend players while you explain something to your co-organizer, and they pick up where they stopped. Change the pace and the games already on the boards speed up or slow down with it.
Nothing counts
It’s a practice: never rated, never on your club’s page, nobody emailed, tonight’s room untouched. End practice deletes it (both, if you ran two), and it deletes itself after 24 hours anyway. Owners, organizers and club-wide TDs can start one.
