What’s new

For organizers ·

Members only now means the room too.

A night you set to Members only was already off the public schedule. Now its room is members-only as well: tonight’s code lets your members in, and anyone else waits at the door until you say so.

The short version

  • On a members-only night, tonight’s code lets in your Castle’s members and helpers
  • Anyone else is told the room is for members and asked to find you
  • Their name shows under “At the door” in your panel: Let in, or Not tonight
  • Let someone in and the same code works for them, for that night only

Some nights are for the regulars: the club championship, the ladder, the evening the committee argues about snacks. You could already set an event to Members only, and it stayed off your public page and calendar feed. But a code is a code, and anyone who had tonight’s could walk straight into the room. Not any more.

On a members-only night, the code lets in your Castle’s members, helpers included. Anyone else (a guest, someone who follows you, a member of another club) is told tonight’s room is for members and to find an organizer at the door. They can tap Ask to come in, and their name appears under At the door in your panel, just the name, nothing else.

Press Let in and the same code works for them, for tonight only. Not tonight takes the name off the list. Bringing a friend to the championship is still fine; it just goes through you.

Nobody already in the room is put out: switch an event to Members only mid-evening and everyone checked in stays. Plain club nights and public events work exactly as before.
