Today's puzzle, and practice your way.
One puzzle a day, the same for everyone, worth 5 XP on top. And Practice now takes orders: pick your themes, pick how hard, or play only the ones that got away.

The short version
- Today's puzzle: one a day, the same for everyone, with 5 XP on top
- Share how it went without giving the answer away
- Practice by theme: forks, pins, mates, endings, or a mix
- Pick how hard, from Easy to Fiendish, or around your own level
- Only the ones you missed, or the ones you've solved too
Puzzles have grown a little front hall. At the top, two ways in: Today and Practice. Free as ever, and no account needed.
Today’s puzzle
One puzzle a day, the same for everyone on the same date, picked from real games and pitched for a fair fight. Solve it for its usual XP and 5 more. Then share how it went: the date, how you got on and a link, never the move, so your clubmates can’t blame you for spoiling it. Come back tomorrow for the next one.
Practice, your way
Practice still picks puzzles at about your level, with the ones you missed mixed back in. Now you can steer. Choose themes by family (pins and skewers, discoveries, quiet moves, checkmates and the rest) or open a family and pick its themes one by one, with your score beside each. Set how hard, from Easy to Fiendish or a range of your own. Play only the ones you missed, or let the ones you’ve already solved come back (they earn no XP: the first try is the one that counts). The address remembers it all, so a link sends a friend the same practice.
The collections and the opening sets moved up, right under the board, so the next one is closer to hand.
