The morning after, the results
A tournament’s page now knows when the night is over: it says who won, and takes you straight to the bracket.

The short version
- Once a tournament’s finished, its page says “The results are in.” with See results: the bracket for a knockout, the standings for a Swiss
- Who won it, in a rubber stamp, for the players and the club’s members (and anyone signed in, where the TD lets anyone watch)
- A tournament whose night closed before the last result says Ended, not Under way, with the bracket as it stood
- The date hangs from the top of the ticket on a ribbon with the tower on it
- The carbon copies behind the ticket are punched at the tear-off like the top one, and on a computer the ticket tilts a little toward your pointer
Wednesday’s knockout finished. Thursday morning its page still said “Under way”, with a Spectate button, as if the clocks were still running in an empty room. We’ve had a word with it.
See results
Once a tournament is over, the bottom of its ticket is the results: a short line and See results, which opens the bracket for a knockout and the standings for a round format. The winner gets a rubber stamp: WON BY and their name. The stamp shows to the people who can already see the bracket, the players and the club’s members, or anyone signed in where the TD lets anyone watch. Signed out, it’s a sign-in that brings you straight back to the results.
Ended, not under way
Sometimes the night closes before the last result is in. Now the page says Ended and offers the bracket as it stood, and the TD console says what’s left: enter the last result, or End early. If the club reopens the night, it’s under way again.
A better ticket
The date now hangs from the top of the ticket on a ribbon, with the tower at the top. The canary and pink copies behind it are punched at the tear-off line like the top copy, so the whole stack looks like one ticket. And with a mouse, the ticket leans a few degrees toward your pointer. It doesn’t do anything. We just liked it.
