The opening trainer: five openings, a few lines a day, each one back just before you’d forget it. Learn it on the bus. Play it on Board 4.
The short version
- Five openings to start: three for White, two for Black
- Learn a line with the moves shown, then play it from memory

The opening trainer is under Learn now, with five openings to start: the Italian Game, the London System and the Vienna Gambit for White, and the Caro-Kann and the Queen’s Gambit Declined for Black. Pick one, learn a line with the moves drawn in for you, then play it again from memory. Wrong moves get a pencil line through them, not a lecture.
Each line comes back when it’s about to slip: tomorrow, then in three days, then a week, and so on. Every clean run adds a tally mark; five and it’s stamped BOOKED. Today’s reps take a few minutes and then they stop, so you can go and play.
Tell it which night your club meets and it brings the lines due that week forward, so they’re fresh when you sit down. Play on the 3D table or a printed paper board, whichever your phone likes better. Your book stays in this browser for now: the lines you know and when they’re due, nothing else.
