Pick a day, pick a time. That’s your schedule.

Starting a Castle, or editing one, now asks when you play as days and times instead of a sentence. Every night lands on your Castle’s page and in a calendar people can subscribe to. And if your club has no fixed room, say so: we show the town and nothing closer.

A wooden board mid-game in a café, an analogue chess clock behind it and a speckled mug beside a player’s sleeve, more boards on the next table.

The short version

  • Add a regular night: a day, when it starts, when it ends, as many as you run
  • Add a date for a one-off, like the Halloween blitz
  • Your Castle’s page lists the nights, and anyone can subscribe to them in their own calendar
  • “We move around”: give just the town, and the map never shows the table

“When do you play?” used to be a box you typed into, which is how one club came to be listed as meeting “Tues-ish, 7, unless it’s raining”. Now it’s buttons. Tap Add a regular night, pick the day, when it starts and when it ends. Thursdays too? Add another. A one-off, like a Saturday simul, is Add a date.

Each one is a real club night. Your Castle’s page lists the next few, the card in the Castles list says “Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7 pm”, and “Subscribe to this calendar” puts every night in people’s own calendar apps, moves and call-offs included. The days and times are public; who comes never is. No name goes on the page or in the calendar.

The times are in your Castle’s time zone, and the form says which one it picked from your browser before you save, so nobody in another town gets told 7 pm when you mean 7 pm somewhere else.

No fixed room? Fine.

Where you meet was always optional, and now the form says so. Pick We have a regular room and give the address, as before. Pick We move around and give just the town: the page shows the town, the map pin is rounded to a spot a few miles across, and nobody gets directions to the town square. A club that meets in someone’s living room should pick this one too.

Already wrote your nights out?

Your words stay on your page until you add nights. Open your Castle’s details and you’ll find them there with “Turn this into nights”. We don’t guess what “second-ish Saturday” means: you pick the days, and once they’re saved the page shows them instead.
