Tournament night? The big button enters you

Join the room with tonight's code and, if there's a tournament taking entries, the big button at the bottom of your phone now says Enter. One tap and you're in, checked in, and waiting for your board.

A bright community hall with rows of chess boards, clocks and numbered table tents.

The short version

  • On a tournament night, the big button is Enter, not Find me a game
  • You're in the room, so entering checks you in too
  • Want a casual game while the first round waits? Find me a game while I wait sits right under it

Until today, walking into a tournament night went: scan the code, join the room, spot a small line about entries being open, follow it to the tournament’s page, tap Enter. Five steps for something everyone in the room came to do.

Now the big button at the bottom of your phone says Enter and the tournament’s name. Tap it and you’re in. You’re already in the room, so you’re checked in too, and your board shows up right there when the TD pairs the round.

Early, and the first round’s a while off? Find me a game while I wait sits just under it, smaller, as it should be. If the tournament’s only for members, or doesn’t take guests, your phone says so, and casual games are still yours.
