Made one too many? Delete it.
An event, a tournament or a gambit nobody has used yet can now go for good, not just be ended or called off. And a tournament that hasn’t started can change its format.

The short version
- Delete an event no night of which ever opened, with its nights and the gambits it posted
- Delete a tournament before it starts, while nobody is entered
- Delete a gambit nobody but you has answered, from its page or while you edit it
- Change a tournament from Swiss to a knockout (or back) before it starts
Everyone has made the practice event called “test test”, or posted Saturday’s meetup twice. Until now the only way out was to end it or call it off, and it hung around your schedule looking guilty.
Now, if nobody has used it yet, you can delete it. An event goes with its nights and the gambits it posted, as long as no night of it ever opened and nobody entered or accepted. A tournament goes before it starts, while nobody is entered. A gambit goes while nobody but you has answered it: there’s a Delete next to Call it off on its page, and at the bottom when you edit it. You’ll see exactly what goes before you say yes, and it can’t be undone.
Anything with history stays. Once people have played, entered or said they’re coming, end it or call it off as before, so they hear about it and the night stays on record.
Change the format
Picked Swiss and then decided on a knockout? Until the first round, you can change a tournament’s format in the TD console. If people have already entered, we ask first: changing the format withdraws everyone, and they can enter again under the new one.
