Mate with a rook

One rook, your king beside it, and a box that only ever gets smaller. You'll be able to: checkmate a lone king with a rook (the box).

Arrow keys move between squares; up is towards your opponent. Enter or Space picks a piece up and puts it down. Escape puts it back.

A king and a rook can checkmate a lone king. The rook builds fences: a king can never step onto a line the rook watches. Start with a fence between their king and yours.

Move the rook to d1, onto the d-file.
