Scan the code, you're in the tournament
Clubs that warm up off the app and then start the tournament can switch check-in off: scanning tonight's code enters tonight's tournament, and everyone entered plays.

The short version
- Switch check-in off for your tournaments on House rules
- Scanning tonight's code then enters tonight's tournament: a name, one tap, done
- Start counts everyone entered as here
- The door step is called Check in everywhere else
Plenty of clubs play casual for an hour, then somebody asks who wants in on the tournament. The code goes up on the screen, everyone scans it, and until now they landed in the room and stopped there, sure they were already in.
Now a club can switch check-in off for its tournaments, on House rules. With it off, scanning tonight’s code enters tonight’s tournament: a first name if you’re new, one tap, and your phone says you’re in. Your board shows up there when the round is out. Start counts everyone entered as here, so nobody is dropped for skipping a step they never saw.
Swiss, round robin, quads or a knockout: it works the same, and it switches back on whenever you want it. Everywhere else, the step at the door now says what it is: Check in.
