Tonight’s boards, right where you look
How many boards the tournament gets tonight is now one line at the top of the TD console, and on Tonight, with Change beside it.

The short version
- “Where it stands”, at the top of the TD console, says the boards: “Boards 1–16 · Change”
- Before Start, with none chosen, it says Start gives the field as many as it needs, from Board 1, and Choose sets them yourself
- Change opens the boards right there: the same From board and To board, and games already on a board stay where they are
- Tonight’s TD console card says the same line, and its Change takes you straight to them
- More keeps the rare things: the format, print and downloads, and Call it off
A TD asked us mid-tournament where to set tonight’s boards. Fair question. The answer was the TD console, then a closed section called More, then the boards. Their review, once shown: “Okay that’s very hidden.” It was.
One line at the top
The console’s first card, “Where it stands”, now says which boards the tournament has tonight, with Change beside it: Boards 1–16 · Change. Before Start, if nobody has chosen any, it says what will happen instead: as many as the field needs, from Board 1, with Choose to set them yourself. Tap either and the boards open right there in the card. Give the tournament more, or move it; games already on a board stay where they are.
And on Tonight
Tonight’s card with Open the TD console says the same line under it. Its Change goes straight to the console with the boards already open, which is two taps fewer than it used to take to find them, and about forty fewer than it took to ask.
More is still there, still closed, for what you need rarely: changing the format before the start, print and the downloads, and Call it off.
